In radiology, image quality is extremely critical for correct diagnosis. This quest has led to innovations in X-rays from conventional to digital radiography (DR). Done properly, DR not only provides a better image quality but can also process an image much faster, saving a lot of time for both doctors and patients. The ability to quickly process images and avoid the need for paper storage is also an added advantage for hospitals, imaging centers, and other types of clinical environments generating hundreds of images a day.
“With our ExamVue software, we address today’s issues such as poor image quality, technical downtime, and steep learning curve that come with new software,” remarks Abe Elgohary, CEO of JPI Healthcare Solutions. JPI Healthcare Solutions works with flat-panel detector manufacturers around the world, integrating their hardware into the JPI ExamVue software suite. These partners develop high-performance detectors for higher efficiency from X-ray to visible photon, excellent spatial resolution, and stability.
As a leading DR solutions provider and image quality expert, JPI Healthcare Solutions has designed its ExamVue DR Acquisition Software to acquire, process, and view digitally acquired images. It integrates with more than 10 models of DR panel to produce high-quality images through its advanced imaging algorithms.
Driving modern-day DR, JPI Healthcare Solutions’ mission is to enhance medical diagnostics by improving image quality. While some of the competitors sell digital upgrades cut to the bare bones, JPI Healthcare Solutions offers a full package to ensure that clients overcome the challenges associated with the transition from film, computed radiography, or older, antiquated digital systems to direct digital.
The company’s ExamVue can be used as a standalone station for the small office or for sending images to a larger Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and it integrates with most modern PACS. For those sites without, JPI Healthcare Solutions has developed its own mini-PACS as well as simple DICOM Worklist generator for the small office. The ExamVue solution package comes complete with functions most competitors charge extra for, including X-ray grids, DICOM Modality Worklist, and Image Stitching. ExamVue helps clients with the acquisition and storage of digital X-ray images produced with digital radiography as well as brings efficiency by helping streamline processes in clinical environments.

ExamVue caters to applications in general radiology and specialist radiology, including hospitals, orthopaedics, and mobile X-ray. JPI Healthcare Solutions currently serves the global market, with worldwide equipment sales. JPI Healthcare Solutions works closely with their dealer to arrange the appropriate hardware and software and seamless integration between all of their products and customer’s existing equipment. As a recent example, JPI Healthcare Solutions has just supported one dealer in an initial 12 detectors sale to a very large medical group that is heavily integrated with their MRI, CT, and Ultrasound equipment. “The customer was so happy with our digital solution that, when they opened their next facility, they simply called our dealer with the site location and the buy date rather than hunting for other solutions in the market,” explained Mr. Elgohary.
One of the many ExamVue products JPI Healthcare Solutions offers is a unique high-end digital imaging system for veterinary applications that combines digital X-ray with a fluoroscopy feature as a single comprehensive imaging solution, the DynaVue. It provides a large field of view for both digital X-ray and fluoroscopy without the need to move the patient or even interrupt the exam. “There’s nothing in the market of its kind,” says Mr. Elgohary.
Mr. Elgohary highlights the company’s comprehensive FiveYear Protection Program, known as the 5-5-5 Coverage Program, with remote technical support, hardware warranty, and drop coverage, which is an industry first. “We understand imaging from the component level to the system level. Post-sale support is extremely critical. Medical facilities cannot afford to have a critical system down,” says Mr. Elgohary. JPI Healthcare Solutions takes pride in its experienced product managers that ensure the company’s tech support is best-in-class. “While some competitors’ tech support departments are hard to reach and may take up to 48 hours to respond to a customer call, our goal is to be available to support our customers when they call. If we are not available, we get back to them in less than two hours,” he states. In addition to such customer support, JPI Healthcare Solutions’ strategic dealer network has access to their in-depth technical and sales training to resolve customer issues without requiring JPI Healthcare Solutions’ immediate support.
Since information is the key in the 21st century, JPI Healthcare Solutions is extensively involved in informational marketing. “An educated customer is always easy to work with. Hence, we are constantly working to bring new technologies to educate them,” states Mr. Elgohary. Sales, marketing and support all work together to find out what the public is interested in and present regular informational articles at www.jpihealthcare.com. At present, JPI Healthcare Solutions is exploring other digital solutions to expand the business and develop unique products while continuing to make their in-house software more robust.
