Lifetrack has developed its flagship product, LifeSys, to be a next-generation radiology imaging solution that focuses on eliminating the limitations of traditional PACS. “Our software is architected and engineered for the future. We can effortlessly deploy with zero-footprint, making the software accessible to unlimited users, including technologists, nurses, referring physicians, and radiologists, without standard manual software installation required. It can be installed in days versus weeks or months,” says Eric Schulze, Founder, CEO, and Director, Lifetrack. The total cost of ownership is also a fraction of the cost of legacy systems. With its low IT and network requirements, access can be expanded even to institutions that cannot afford high overhead costs or lack specialized network IT personnel. Furthermore, no expensive custom hardware or networking is required, which creates hassle-free environment for the IT department. It has built-in advanced redundancy that protects against ransomware and is compliant with patient healthcare information security regulations. “Our patented workflow capabilities allow imaging departments to achieve unheard-of efficiencies. Radiologists experience an effortless workflow that makes reporting easier, improves turnaround time, and results in more patients being served by the institution,” Schulze adds.
In addition to numerous LifeSys Onsite installations in hospitals in The Philippines, Lifetrack works with multiple large clinic chain and HMO customers in the Philippines.
For example, FamilyDOC, now Healthway Family Clinic, a chain of community-based primary care clinics serving the lower-middle-class in semi-urban areas, was built from the ground up using a LifeSys Cloud installation integrated into their business plan. By using LifeSys, they didn’t need to host radiologists in each clinic thereby saving costs associated with floor space and equipment for their clinics.![]()
Our patented workflow capabilities allow imaging departments to achieve unheard-of efficiencies
This allowed FamilyDOC to rapidly scale from an initial three clinics to over 75 clinics in just five years When it comes to efficiency, FamilyDOC can now provide a radiologic diagnosis within 30 minutes of taking an x-ray to 99 percent of their patients. This is a radical improvement on typical waiting times for x-rays in the Philippines of two to five days. This saves working-class patients from missing one day’s worth of wages to pick up their reports. “FamilyDOC is able to do this with zero radiologists physically present in their clinics; their diagnostic imaging is done by on-site radiographers who upload their x-rays to our cloud server using consumer internet connections, where a radiologist working remotely is able to access it in real-time,” mentions Schulze. LifeSys has truly helped FamilyDOC expand at a faster speed, with quality results, and without fear of higher costs.
More importantly, LifeSys is engineered from the ground up to avoid the limitations of the toolkits used for legacy systems. “Therefore, we are not constrained by the use of toolkits of traditional or legacy PACS,” states Schulze. “As a radiologist, I’ve seen all kinds of constraints related to decisions made at the beginning of developing imaging software. This is why we have put a lot of thought to make sure that our RIS PACS is out of the box” as evidenced by seven US patents. Further, LifeSys is much more nimble because its software is zero-footprint or browser-based. This means that future needs of the market can be easily addressed and incorporated into the software, whether the LifeSys server is Onsite, Cloud, or both (Hybrid).“With LifeSys institutions can widen their reach and serve more patients because they are using their radiology resources more efficiently,” concludes Schulze.
